Also users with a valid Friend of the Library Card from the College of Charleston Library may borrow books. Please Note: Journals do not circulate.
Obtaining a Friend of the Library Card
The Friend of the Library Card is valid at the College of Charleston Library and at the Marine Resources Library. You must be over 18 and a resident of the Tri-County Area; i.e., Charleston, Dorchester, or Berkley counties to be eligible for the Friend of the Library Card. The $75.00 tax-deductible fee accords you borrowing privileges from both libraries for one year. You may apply for a Friend of the Library Card at the Circulation Desk at the Marine Resources Library.
Photocopier Use
The Marine Resources Library has a photocopier which is operated by code. If you do not have an assigned photocopy code, the library staff will enter a code. Copies are five cents ($0.05) per page; the amount due is paid at the Circulation Desk. Marine biology graduate students needing extensive photocopying may see the librarian to set up a pre-paid copy code.
