If you would like to access our electronic resources from a location off the College of Charleston Campus, simply click the appropriate link on the web page. If you are off-campus, you will be prompted for your logon name and password in order to show you are a member of the College of Charleston/Marine Resources Library community.
Please note that it is very important to access an e-journal, e-book, or database by choosing links on the library website rather than locating the resource in a general web search. We incorporate the authentication mechanism into the URLs to ensure you can get access to what we pay for.

What if I use Google Scholar?
If you use Google Scholar for your research, you can improve your off-campus experience by adjusting the Library Links under Settings in Google Scholar to include College of Charleston Libraries. This will add a Find At CofC link after many of the results, which will assist you with getting authenticated access.
How do I report problems?
The best way to report problems is to send email to mrlserials@cofc.edu. Please keep in mind that occasionally, due to problems with the Internet or the database supplier, databases will be unavailable. Also, several databases have restrictions as to how many users may access them at one time. Often trying again later will produce successful results.
